Not very "animaic" at all.

Didn't sound like an anime song at all. Sounds more like a little kid's TV Show theme song. Or a techno-pop song.

To answer your question, I just thought of something catchy to put and give that Metallica/Motorhead kind of vibe. and the reason why i made it heavier was because......I actually don't know why. Probably because Thats how i might have pictured the song in my head.
