Fun to Play? Must Be Fun to Eat, Too

I've been avoiding this game for a while. I'm glad I finally played it.

The story, while thin, is still quite original for a brawler. Eat stuff, get powers? I love it. And though there's only two buttons, and one of them is used for almost EVERYTHING, it's still pretty fun.

The humor is of course what sets this game apart. Self-awareness is not new (that's one-third of the formula for Family Guy's success today), but knowing your weak points while focusing on the strong points, as well as the "gangsta-speak" present throughout, makes it... well. It's funny.

Of course, the game brings up more questions than it does answers -- a prequel or sequel would be nice. Pretty please?

An Intriguing Title

While the platform game is all but a cliche standard for games, you breathed life into it... a retro-styled life.

The concept is quite original -- a pixel game that knows it's a pixel game? And while incredibly challenging, it's a game that one may never stop playing if JUST to beat it.

Fun, Accessible... the perfect Flash game

Not many games are worthy of a 10 score, in all reality. Happily, this game is one of the few, the lucky.

Armed with a silly story and easy-to-understand controls, along with visuals and audio that are easy on the senses, this game is easily among the best games anyone could have hoped for. And with it now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, I know people will be paying and playing often.

All I can really say now is.. Go Sushi Cat! Go!

Interesting Concept, Flawed Execution

The concept is quite interesting for a flash game --a hero fighting bosses on a train? I expected a game worthy of console hack-n-slash games, because the description made me think that "hardcore gamers" would really like this.

Sadly, I was mistaken. Not a very interesting hero, and the whole fighting on a train thing could have been fleshed out to be a whole lot more interesting -- fighting on top of all the cars, with an unstable environment, was what I was thinking to be honest. The cut-scenes were also fairly weak, but that's not really noteworthy considering the game that they're apart of.

That's not to say that it's not worthwhile game, though. The bosses, though just as uninteresting as the hero, are a good challenge for anyone who likes games such as these. Though it won't appeal to people with high standards and unwarranted self-importance (hey, that's not nice!), there is still an audience for this game. Don't give up hope. And if you do improve upon this original game, or make a sequel, keep these criticisms in mind.

Retro. But that doesn't always mean excellent

Space Ninja is a fun game, I won't lie. Even though the only ninja-like thing he does is wall-jump, the concept of a space ninja doing... space ninja things is very enjoyable. But it's little but a straightforward action-adventure game. Like Batman, or Mario... but even more straightforwardness. Not that this is a fault -- it does, however, get tiring and make one crave even extra weapons.

The final boss, reminiscent of SO many others, is incredibly hard. But even after beating him, I still had a "That's it?" moment. You see, besides the straightforwardness of the game, there's no story in the game. You do these things... for the sake of doing them, apparently. Even fans of Mario-like games may be a little turned off since there's no princess to rescue, or no reward for beating the game. Nothing really keeps them there in the first place either -- the music, which like everything else in this game has a retro-style feel to it, often gets annoying... for no real reason.

Still, the effort it must have taken to make such a game is worthy applause. And they feel they MUST play it, by all means play it. Not a bad game... it's just not as good as it could have been.

Even at its best, it's still... robotic

The excitement quickly disappeared when the game started. While the art is nice and perfect for Robot Day, the gameplay is like a watered-down "Ninja Run" (or any other game that's similar to that exceptionally good game). Even when mastered, one still feels the frustration of failure.

The retro -- vaudeville? -- music may be the single, inspiring highlight. I say this because it kept bringing me back. It made the frustration of failure all the more bearable, and the idea of this robot running all the less pointless.

Surely it's not the worst game on here. Sadly, it's not that great of a game either. It's literally a robot game -- a game so dull that it's redundant.

Haha

Fun, creative, and fun. Perhaps the best game based on the Bible ever

8-bit visuals and music make this game slightly addicting, and you're bound to play this 10 second game over and over, and maybe even learn something while you're at it.

Original

Very easy and accessible, but so very fun. Not as addicting as I originally predicted, but it's still a good and creative game.

Game as Art

I don't think I've played a game like this, and I don't know how I feel about it. It's a decent game, and was kind of creepy (the atmosphere is what made me want more though). I was hoping for a real ending, though. I'm not sure what that was, but that wasn't much of an ending.

Perhaps there is something subtle, something hidden I'm forgetting to look into. I did everything the voice asked of me, and I grabbed the coin. All I got, after being told "I loved you, always" is a "The End." I don't know.

May I ask, what inspired you to make a game like this?

Whoa

Who knew that next Indiana Jones movie wouldn't be Indiana Jones, or a movie?

The concept is original (though of course the intro reminds one of good ole' Indy), and the difficulty is turned up all the way to 11 (not necessarily bad, but I do feel angered by this game often).

I do commend you for keeping it simple, as well as adding a Middle Eastern/hip-hop soundtrack to the game. Overall, it's an inventive and nostalgic trip back to the Prince of Persia games, and I'm sure many people will thank you for it.
